Body Memory Reset
During and following the Body Memory Reset program you may notice many changes taking place in the body. These changes may be minor or significant in the way you feel. You may experience mild short term symptoms similar to past conditions. This is also normal and usually a good sign of healing.
These changes will continue to occur for several months following the end of the procedure.
The most important thing to remember is this,
“be patient”
it took time to get sick
it takes time to heal.
Body Memory Reset (BMR) Program
What to expect after:
In this brochure we will discuss what to expect and what may occur durring and following the completion of the Body Memory Reset (BMR) program.
There are several (BMR) programs available but they all work in similar ways and what you should expect will also be similar.
Regardless of which procedure you started with the other procedures are designed to complement and complete your overall health program. We usually recommend about 1 month between any two programs but talk to your practioner/physician to determine when and how it is best to proceed.
The body is slow to change:
Unlike most of us the body does not make rush decisions or make radical changes often. The most important thing for you to understand is that you must be patient. Your body will address your issues as it is capable and the timing is very important. As doctors we want to fix everything today, as patients you want them fixed yesterday. That is sometimes the worst thing we could do as the body can only change and heal so fast. If pushed, the body can react in ways that cause symptoms and make the entire process uncomfortable. This BMR procedure is carefully designed to prevent reactions and to stimulate changes and healing at the proper speed.
Neuroplasticity is a term used to describe how the body’s memory develops and how you learn new information or skills. This is a slow precise process designed to keep the body as stable and balanced as possible.
There is one significant exception to this rule and that is trauma. Sudden physical or emotional trauma releases chemistry in the nervous system that places the body in a very neuroplastic state. This allows for memories to be stored immediately without the normal processing which is there to insure memories are laid down correctly. Obviously during and immediately following trauma is when the body’s nervous system is the most vulnerable. Therefore, this is when the greatest number of mistakes occurs in your memory. If you suffer a traumatic injury or if you are under significant emotional stress, the general BMR program may need to be performed more often than other individuals.
The body has its own priorities:
The body operates with logic and self preservation in mind. In other words, it has its own priority system which is seldom the same as ours. For example; typically our priorities are based on how we feel and look where the body’s priorities are based on preserving your life and maintaining a stable, balanced and healthy environment.
In a world full of allopathic medicine and mindsets, this is the part that is the most difficult to explain or understand. The BMR program gives the body amazing resources to heal it self and lets the body decide how and where it will utilize those resources. In short, your body is not only part of the treatment equation it is also in charge of how you respond to the BMR therapy. Since every person is unique and has different needs, every person will respond differently. So we really can’t tell you exactly what the BMR therapy will do for you or how you will respond because that is up to your own body. And in a world where we need to put instant coffee in the microwave, patience is difficult. But if you can be patient and let the body fix itself in its own time the results are amazing and well worth the time spent.
How do you know if the procedures are working?
Your body will begin to change and if you are listening you will recognize it. It could be in your sleep, your energy, the amount of pain you feel, your elimination, your appetite or a million other things. You may have noticed that I said change instead of improve. That’s because change is the most important. If it can be changed it can be improve. If you can’t change it you can’t improve it.
What should I do to support these changes and help my body heal?
Follow all the instructions in this brochure series on diet, exercise, vitamin supplementation and follow up with any other needed supportive care. Also get enough rest. All quality studies have shown that about 8 hours of sleep is ideal. At times you may need a little more and occasionally you can do with less, but you should return to about 8 hours a night for an average. If you burn a candle at both ends it still works fine, but it does shorten its life span. The same holds true for you.
What should I expect?
Within a few weeks of starting the BMR program the body’s memory should be changing enough to help you create good lifestyle habits. Expect your cravings and appetite to change. Begin eating when you are hungry, not when the clock tells you to. Stop when you are satisfied, not when the food is gone. Exercise when you feel good and rest when you are tired, but don’t confuse tired with bad habits or laziness. If you eat out often disregard what your mother taught you, “Don’t clean you plate” at least not by yourself. Split meals or take the rest home. Restaurants serve portions much larger than any one person needs. This is one reason our appetites are set wrong. Your body will slowly and deliberately continue to change over the next year.
You may experience symptoms that last for 24 to 48 hours that are similar to past injuries or illnesses. These will be mild and short lived. You should find your lifestyle changing in ways you thought were impossible a short time ago.
Our ultimate goal is to have your pain subside, your energy increases, your digestion improved so you can feel good after eating good food. We want you to be able to rest well and wake refreshed. All of these items indicate you are gaining health. As mentioned before, you did not get sick overnight and you will not heal and get well overnight. Be patient, follow good health habits and let your body heal.
